인더스트리얼 메탈은 말그대로 기계음 떡칠한 인더스트리얼과 메탈을 합친 음악이다. 좀 경계가 모호한 음악인지라 마릴린 맨슨이나 나인 인치 네일스 등등 장르들 사이에 걸쳐 있는듯한 뮤지션들이 유명하다.

인더스트리얼 메탈을 한다고 확실히 단정지을 수 있는 장르의 대표 밴드, 독일의 Rammstein, 람슈타인이다.
